Featured Tool: Scaffold Stellar

Scaffold Stellar simplifies blockchain dApp development and streamlines the Stellar app lifecycle. It is designed to be a starting point for building many kinds of apps, providing convention over configuration.

Scaffold Stellar eliminates boilerplate by generating smart contract projects written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly (Wasm), alongside a frontend built with modern TypeScript + React tooling (using Vite). The system handles complex tasks automatically, such as deploying contracts, generating fully type-safe TypeScript clients (npm libraries), and setting up local network environments using Docker.

The Challenge: Open Innovation using Scaffold Stellar

This hackathon is about demonstrating the speed and efficiency of the Scaffold Stellar framework.

Your mission is to build a dApp or tool that utilizes the Scaffold Stellar framework. Submissions must demonstrate three key components, which are features easily facilitated by the toolkit:

1. A Deployed Smart Contract: Submissions require a deployed contract. Scaffold Stellar eliminates boilerplate by generating smart contract projects written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly.
2. A Front End: A functional user interface is required. The framework generates a frontend built with modern TypeScript + React tooling using Vite.
3. Stellar Wallet Kit Integration: The front end must integrate the Stellar Wallet Kit, a feature that is included in the Scaffold Stellar template.

Need a spark? Leverage Scaffold Stellar to quickly build solutions that the ecosystem would love to see:

• Innovative DeFi & GameFi Applications: Utilize the built-in token standards (OpenZeppelin Fungible Token or NFT interfaces) to create GameFi applications. Builders could add economic incentives, transactions, and enhanced authentication to contracts.
• New Interfaces & Experiences: Design innovative user interfaces (React/Vite) that simplify complex contract interactions or introduce new user experiences. This could include custom explorers or features that leverage event listeners in the frontend.
• Custom Financial Primitives: Develop new smart contracts for specialized needs and easily integrate them with the provided structure, generating clients and managing their deployment through the environment configuration files.
• Tooling & Integrations: Build tools that enhance the developer workflow or integrate other services.
