About the Hackathon
Technology for Good is a 40-hour beginner-friendly hackathon hosted by King’s AI Research Club, where students build tech solutions for real-world problems and learn new skills.
About the challengeTheTechnology for Good Hackathonis a40-hour innovation sprintwhere students collaborate to design and build technology that addresses real-world challenges. Hosted by theKing’s AI Research Club, this is thefirst-ever internal hackathon at King’s, bringing together students from all programs to explore how technology can create positive impact.Participants will work in teams to developsoftware or hardware projectsthat tackle meaningful problems. Whether you’re interested in AI, web development, data science, hardware, or simply learning something new, this event is designed to bewelcoming to both beginners and experienced builders.The hackathon begins onMarch 12th at 5:30 PMwith an opening ceremony and introductory workshops to help participants get familiar with the tools and technologies they may use during the event. From there, teams will begin building their projects during the hacking period.Throughout the event, participants can also take part infun mini-events like Mario Kart tournaments and trivia, giving everyone a chance to take a break, connect with others, and enjoy the experience.On the final day, teams willsubmit their projects and present them to a panel of judges, who will evaluate submissions based on creativity, impact, and technical execution.
