About the Role

About the Company

Our client is disrupting the self-storage and moving industry in London through their innovative tech-first approach. As a rapidly scaling startup, they're digitalising what has traditionally been a fragmented, offline experience. Their platform allows customers to seamlessly book self-storage solutions, moving services, packing assistance, and end-of-tenancy cleaning with unprecedented transparency and flexibility. With recent Series A funding, our client has established solid market traction across the UK, with sights set on Dubai and US expansion.

The Mission

Transform the moving and storage experience from a notoriously stressful hassle into something remarkably straightforward and accessible. By leveraging technology and maintaining a laser focus on customer satisfaction, they're building a solution for people, urban professionals, and businesses who expect digital-first, transparent services that just work.

The Opportunity

As a Head of Performance Marketing, you'll take full ownership of a substantial monthly ad budget across all digital channels. Working directly with the Founder/CEO, you'll have the autonomy to optimise and scale acquisition strategies for moving and storage verticals. This represents the rare chance to demonstrably impact a startup's growth trajectory, with clear career progression as the company expands internationally.

What You'll Do

  • Take complete ownership of performance marketing channels and strategy, with hands-on management of a £13M+ annual performance marketing budget with direct impact on revenue trajectory

  • Develop and relentlessly optimise customer acquisition costs and lead quality metrics across moving and storage services

  • Drive measurable growth by meeting and exceeding acquisition targets

  • Apply sophisticated analytics to optimise the full acquisition funnel from awareness to conversion

  • Identify, test and scale new acquisition opportunities through data-driven experimentation

  • Execute campaigns end-to-end - from strategy through implementation to optimisation

  • Deliver meaningful performance insights to leadership that drive strategic business decisions

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience, with at least 3 years in startups

  • Proven track record scaling startups through digital acquisition (ideally from £2–5M to £15M+)

  • Experience scaling acquisition budgets from £200K-£1M+ monthly across Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube

  • Deep practical knowledge of UK digital acquisition channels

  • Experience in high-growth startups with demonstrable impact on company growth metrics

  • Exceptional analytical capabilities and comfort with complex funnel analysis and attribution modelling

  • Self-sufficient work style - you thrive working independently in fast-paced environments and are comfortable building systems from scratch

  • Ability to work UK hours, regardless of your location

  • Bonus: Experience in self-storage, moving, home services or marketplaces

Key Success Drivers

  • Data-driven decision making: You let metrics guide your strategy while maintaining creative thinking

  • Growth mindset: You continuously experiment, learn and refine your approach

  • Collaborative approach: You work effectively with founders and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Results obsession: You're motivated by measurable impact and growth

  • Comfort with ambiguity: You navigate uncertainty confidently and adapt quickly

  • Ownership mentality: You take full responsibility for outcomes and drive initiative

Why Join?

  • Competitive compensation: £60,000–£72,000+ base salary (£5,000–£6,000 monthly), negotiable based on experience

  • Work directly with the Founder (who scaled the company 4x in six months and just raised Series A)

  • Own a £13M+ annual performance marketing budget with direct impact on revenue trajectory

  • Drive 10x growth through 2026, with UK consolidation and international expansion in 2027

  • Meaningful equity upside with stock options (negotiable as part of full package)

  • Performance-based bonuses directly tied to your marketing KPIs and revenue impact

  • Team building opportunity - grow your own team if you want people management at scale
