Job Summary

The Senior Data Warehouse Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing enterprise data warehouse solutions that power analytics and reporting across the organization. This role focuses on developing scalable data integration pipelines, managing warehouse performance, and ensuring strong data governance across modern database platforms.

You will work closely with engineers, product managers, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data infrastructure that supports analytics professionals and decision-makers across the organization. The ideal candidate combines deep database expertise with experience building automated data pipelines and maintaining high-performance warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions that support analytics and reporting across multiple teams.

  • Build and manage data integration workflows using ETL/ELT tools such as dbt or SSIS.

  • Optimize warehouse performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and resource management.

  • Develop stored procedures, optimized SQL scripts, and database objects across warehouse technologies.

  • Implement and maintain user access controls including roles, permissions, and governance policies.

  • Enforce data quality and integrity through automated validation scripts and cleansing workflows based on business rules.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot warehouse performance issues and production data workloads.

  • Support production deployments and ensure stability and reliability of warehouse environments.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver scalable data solutions supporting analytics initiatives.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Redshift, including scripting and warehouse management.

  • Strong experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt or SSIS.

  • Expertise in SQL scripting, stored procedures, and query optimization across database platforms.

  • Solid understanding of database architecture, backup strategies, and data security practices.

  • Experience implementing roles, user access management, and permission controls in data warehouse environments.

  • Strong experience with data pipeline automation and warehouse performance tuning.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
