About the Role

Rain makes the next generation of payments possible across the globe. We're a lean and mighty team of passionate builders and veteran founders. Our infrastructure makes stablecoins usable in the real world by powering card transactions, cross-border payments, B2B purchases, remittances, and more. We partner with fintechs, neobanks, and institutions to help them launch solutions that are global, inclusive, and efficient.

You will have the opportunity to deliver massive impact at a hypergrowth company that is funded by some of the top investors in fintech, crypto, and SaaS, including Sapphire Ventures, Norwest, Galaxy Ventures, Lightspeed, Khosla, and several more. If you're curious, bold, and excited to help shape a borderless financial future, we'd love to talk.

Our Ethos

We believe in an open and flat structure. You will be able to grow into the role that most aligns with your goals. Operating at the epicenter of stablecoin innovation means moving fast and thinking globally. Our team reflects the diverse, international audiences we serve. We hire people who stay agile as the tide ebbs and flows, fix what's broken without waiting, chase trends before they peak, and remember to have fun through it all.

The Role

Rain is looking for an operationally minded, detail-oriented Card Operations Manager to own the workflows and compliance requirements that keep our physical card programs running at scale. You'll sit at the intersection of our internal teams, clients, card networks (e.g. Visa), and manufacturing partners – bridging product, engineering, and the real-world experience of every cardholder. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can manage complexity across multiple programs simultaneously, bring structure to ambiguity, and act as a trusted strategic partner to clients and vendors alike.

What You'll Do

  • Own physical card program operations end-to-end – work directly with card manufacturers, processors, payment networks, and key vendors to monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and resolve escalations with urgency and precision.

  • Lead manufacturer implementations – partner closely with Head of Card Network Operations to drive onboarding of new card manufacturers and expand functionality with existing manufacturers to ensure capabilities meet evolving program needs.

  • Be a strategic partner to clients – guide partners through card requirements, own onboarding timelines for new card programs, and ensure every launch lands on time and on spec through rigorous project management.

  • Keep the machine running – manage end-to-end physical card billing operations and support reporting requirements from third-party vendors.

  • Drive visibility and accountability – maintain project trackers, run weekly vendor syncs, and deliver regular status reports that keep cross-functional stakeholders aligned and informed.

Who You Are

  • 4–7 years of experience in card operations, payments operations, or a related fintech/financial services function

  • Deep familiarity with physical card issuance, card network rules (Visa, Mastercard), and card manufacturer relationships

  • Exceptional project management skills – you can hold many threads at once without dropping any

  • A clear, confident communicator who can hold vendors accountable and guide clients with authority

  • Someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and builds process where none exists

  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams is a strong plus

  • Bonus: exposure to stablecoin or crypto-native card programs
